Slave to Fashion

In 2011 I worked on a few projects with fashion designer, Andy Stinson. This was from his Fall collection created for Adrian Jules Clothiers. Andy is a true perfectionist. Styling for the shoots usually takes 2 or more hours per outfit.

Aria Video

I just completed the first in a series of 17 videos for Hot Spring Spas. Other than the two short underwater clips, I did all the shooting & editing. Here's the link to the video. ARIA_SPA

Go Indie Winner.

I'm not sure what go indie means, but I chose the right image to enter in the PDN Go Indie Photo Contest. My buddy, Dave Laird has a custom built wall rack to display the 250 plus Pez dispensers he's collected over the years. He would be happy to tell you more than you need to know about all things Pez. Stylist, Robin Anderson and I had fun setting this up.

100 Worlds Project

Ron Miriello of Miriello Grafico has embarked on an ambitious personal project to create 100 handmade sculptures based on the metaphor of the globe. The series started with him using found objects to create the first piece, then grew as he invited clients, craftsmen, photographers and designers to participate. To Ron, the globe is more than a metaphor for the world, it's a metaphor for collaboration. In his email to me, he explained the project and asked, "Are you into it?" I replied, "YEAH! Sounds like fun." I picked up Globe #16 and planned to shoot it in an open space preserve near my home. Then I noticed this beautiful early morning light streaming into a vacant unit near my studio and figured it was the perfect setting.

On February 18th the first 50 globes will go on display at the Jett Gallery located in Little Italy.

Found Series 3

My spread in Found directory #3 was published this month. After much waffling decided to feature two images from shoots for PF Chang's.

Hot Enough For Ya?

It's been a cool summer so far in SoCal, but not on this shoot. OcensideGlasstile needed fresh images of their factory in Tijuana. I was ten feet in front of a furnace full of molten glass and a huge oven three feet behind me. Don't know what the temp was, but I think I dropped five pounds in 15 minutes.

Beam Rider

When I'm not shooting I'm on my bike. Road, mountain and touring. It's a great way to decompress and clear the clutter from my head. This image was from a trip to visit family in Northern California. We came around the corner and saw this amazing light. I told my buddy, Eric to keep pedaling and grabbed a few frames. One was published in Bike Magazine.
